Short stories in the Sparse setting during #Preptober before NaNoWriMo

In the world of Pevrea, two moons hang in the sky.

there are two kinds of magic: the old mana and the new curse alchemy.

The quiet little town of Mistseek, surrounded by desert and ocean and impassible mountains. The salt air, the creak of the ship. A whole new country!

She thought it was far enough away to start over, but it’s never far or fast enough to outrun yourself.

Now there is an affliction spreading over the land of Pendalosa, right as she opens her new shop and starts making friends. Can she help solve it without letting go of her dreams, even when everything feels impossible?

Keep your friends close, never lose your sense of wonder, for the curse is spreading.

It’s a good thing she decided to open a magic shop! She smelled opportunity here, but she can’t do it all alone.

She’ll need the help of both friends and enemies so she counter a powerful organization that wants nothing more than to keep things the way they are…

Everything hangs in the balance

What lengths would you go to in order to protect what you love, when everything feels hopeless?

A touching tale of hidden strength and courage

Nina grew up in a rural milieu, which shaped her preconceptions and biases against townsfolk. That didn’t change until she was away from her family while finishing up her education – and lived inside the boundaries of that same town.
